As I watch and listen to the reporting on the “Horror in Haiti” my heart goes out to those people.
I can’t help but wonder why in this day and time it continues to be so very difficult to expedite aid.
I know everything humanly possible is being done and I can certainly understand the magnitude of
such an undertaking yet it seems eerily odd that after 2 days a simple drink of water is not somehow made
available. The answer would appear to be the lack of any preparation by that country’s government or lack there of, but
remember Katrina. And so today I wonder what if this were happening in Hawaii, and I am glad I do not live there.
